โ What Should Students Study Right Now?
Until PECTAA publishes a 2027 notification, the safest approach is to prepare from the current officially prescribed textbook and curriculum. Reducing preparation based on an unverified 2027 PDF is risky.
- Follow the current 9th class Biology textbook and officially prescribed curriculum.
- Keep solving textbook exercises, diagrams, and important conceptual questions.
- Use the 2026 Grade 9 Biology pairing scheme and model papers as a study aid โ but do not assume the same deleted topics will apply to 2027.
- Do not permanently skip a chapter, diagram, or exercise only because an unofficial website says it may be deleted.
- Check PECTAA and your BISE board website when the 2027 notification is announced.
- Bookmark this page โ it will update as soon as a verified official notification is issued.

- Look for a document specifically identifying Grade 9, Biology, and Annual Examination 2027.
- Check the notification date and issuing authority.
- Cross-check with your relevant BISE Punjab board website.
- Do not rely only on a PDF filename, YouTube title, or social-media screenshot.
โ Frequently Asked Questions โ 9th Class Biology 2027
As of 25 October 2026, no 2027 Grade 9 Biology Smart Syllabus notification has been verified on PECTAA's public Curriculum & Compliance page. The most recent formally notified Grade 9 Biology Smart Syllabus covered the Annual Examination 2026.
No automatic carry-over should be assumed. The 2025 PECTAA notification explicitly scoped the revised Grade 9 Biology syllabus to the Annual Examination 2026. A new year requires its own notification.
Only from PECTAA's official Curriculum & Compliance page (and adopted by your BISE board). This page embeds and links to the official source. We do not host unofficial copies.
No. Unless a new notification specifically deletes the same chapters for the 2027 exam, prepare from the full current curriculum. Skipping chapters based on an unverified PDF risks losing marks.
There is no verified release date. The 2026 notification was issued on 7 November 2025, but that historical date should not be treated as a promised release date for 2027.
