Current status (25 October 2026)
Class 10 is different from Class 9. In the 2026 board exams, 10th class students followed the old (full) syllabus — no smart syllabus was issued for 10th class in 2026. For the 2027 exams, a new 10th class syllabus has been introduced, and students should prepare from that new syllabus.
No additional PECTAA/board notification announcing a separate smart-syllabus reduction on top of the new 10th class syllabus has been verified as of this update. Each subject page below will flip from ⏳ Pending to ✅ Announced the moment a verified official notification is issued.

Important: 10th Class Is Not Like 9th Class
In 9th class, a revised Smart Syllabus was notified by PECTAA for the Annual Examination 2026. In 10th class, the 2026 exams were held on the old (full) syllabus — no 10th class smart syllabus was issued for 2026. For the 2027 exams, a new 10th class syllabus has been introduced, and students should prepare from that new syllabus.
What Should Class 10 Students Study Right Now?
Because the 10th class has moved to a new syllabus for 2027, your first priority is to follow that new syllabus in full. Do not reduce your preparation based on an unverified 2027 PDF. If an official smart-syllabus reduction is notified later, it will come through PECTAA / your BISE board.
- Prepare from the new 10th class syllabus issued for the 2027 exams.
- Solve all textbook exercises and important conceptual questions from the new syllabus.
- Use official pairing schemes and model papers when they are released for the 2027 examination.
- Do not permanently skip a chapter or topic only because an unofficial website says it may be deleted.
- Check PECTAA and your BISE website for any further notification.
- Bookmark this page and check the status table above — it updates as soon as an official notification is verified.
What Does PECTAA Officially Say?
PECTAA's Curriculum & Compliance page is the most reliable official reference. Its current Smart Syllabus section lists the revised Grade 9 material associated with the Annual Examination 2026, as well as a Grade 11 Smart Syllabus for the 2026 examination. The page does not currently list a separate 2027 Grade 10 smart-syllabus (reduced-topic) notification.

How to Check the Official 10th Class Notification
- Open the official PECTAA Curriculum & Compliance page.
- Look for any document specifically identifying Grade 10 and the Annual Examination 2027.
- Check the notification date and issuing authority.
- Cross-check the announcement with your relevant BISE Punjab board website.
- Do not rely only on a PDF filename, YouTube title, or social-media screenshot.
Frequently Asked Questions — 10th Class 2027
Has the Smart Syllabus for 10th Class 2027 been announced?
As of 25 October 2026, no additional 2027 smart-syllabus (reduced-topic) notification for 10th class has been verified on PECTAA's public Curriculum & Compliance page. However, a new 10th class syllabus has been introduced for the 2027 exams, and students should prepare from that new syllabus.
What was the 10th class syllabus for the 2026 exams?
The 2026 board exams followed the old (full) syllabus. No 10th class smart syllabus was issued for 2026.
Does the 2026 syllabus carry over to 2027?
No. 2026 was the old syllabus, and 2027 is governed by the new syllabus. There is no question of a "2026 smart syllabus" carrying over, because no smart syllabus was issued for 10th class in 2026.
Should I stop studying chapters that were deleted in 9th class?
Do not carry over assumptions from 9th class. The 10th class 2027 syllabus is the reference point. Prepare from the full new 10th class syllabus unless a specific 10th class reduction is officially notified.
Where can I download the official PDF when it is issued?
Only from PECTAA's official Curriculum & Compliance page (and adopted by your BISE board). Each subject page above links to the official source. We do not host unofficial copies.
