Board registration portals receive hundreds of thousands of photos each cycle. To keep their servers fast and reliable, they enforce strict limits on dimensions and file size. A photo that is too large will be rejected; one that is too small or too low-quality may fail verification. The standard for BISE Gujranwala Class 9 registration is 130×130 pixels JPG under 20 KB.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens inside your browser using the Canvas API. Your image never leaves your device and is never sent to Hira Science Academy or any third party.
What format should I upload?
JPG or JPEG is best for BISE forms because the output must be JPG. PNG and WEBP also work as input; the tool converts everything to JPG on output.
What if the result is still over 20 KB?
Lower the JPEG quality slider (try 0.6 or 0.5). You can also set the 'Target file size' field to 20 KB — the tool will automatically reduce quality in steps to meet the target, while never going below 6 KB to keep the photo legible.
Will resizing distort my face?
The tool scales the entire image to your chosen dimensions. If your original photo is not square, the result will be stretched or compressed. For best results, crop your photo to a square before uploading.
Why is there a 6 KB minimum?
Below about 6 KB, a JPEG photo of a face becomes visibly blurry and blocky. Most board portals reject unrecognisable photos even if they meet the file size. The 6 KB floor prevents the tool from over-compressing your photo to meet a target that would ruin it.
